Love at First Bite: Wedding Show Adventures with Macarons

Weddings are magical celebrations that blend tradition, creativity, and personality—and there’s no better place to soak up that magic than at a wedding show. From the moment you step in, there’s a buzz in the air: excited brides-to-be, their partners, families, and friends, all on the hunt for inspiration. The venue is alive with creativity, as vendors showcase everything from dazzling photography and heartfelt celebrants to stunning floral arrangements and meticulously styled table designs.

In March 2025, I had the pleasure of attending two local—but very different—wedding shows. It was an exciting opportunity not just to explore, but to showcase something close to my heart: my handcrafted macaron towers and elegant wedding favours. With each event, I was eager to see the reactions, gather feedback, and connect with couples looking to add a little extra sweetness to their big day. Spoiler alert: the response was as delightful as the macarons themselves.

To my surprise (and delight), many bridal parties hadn’t considered macarons as a centrepiece for the dessert table—so my display drew quite a bit of attention. People were curious, intrigued, and full of great questions: How many macarons should we have? Can they be customised to match our theme? Are there dairy-free or vegan options? What flavours are available? And is it possible to have a macaron tower alongside a traditional cake? It sparked so many conversations and opened up the idea that macarons can be just as show-stopping as any tiered wedding cake—if not more so.

Visitors—and even a few fellow vendors—loved sampling my macarons, creating a delightful sensory memory that lingered long after the first bite. For some, the experience even helped inspire their wedding colour palettes and flavour choices, adding a personal and memorable touch to their planning journey.

Attending a wedding show isn’t just about discovering potential collaborators or admiring beautiful décor—it’s about exploring what’s possible. For me, bringing macarons wasn’t simply about showcasing a product; it was a sweet, subtle way to participate in the celebration of love, creativity, and personal expression.

Whether you’re deep in wedding planning or simply gathering ideas, having something as delightful as a macaron in hand makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable—and a little more magical.
